Clementine Blakemore
Director
Clementine is the director of a London-based practice, Clementine Blakemore Architecture. She is currently working on a range of projects, including a music room for a primary school in Buckinghamshire, a residential conversion in London. Previous clients include the UK Green Building Council, the Design Museum, Brent Council, and two educational NGOs in India.With a strong belief in collaboration and the process of learning through making, she regularly leads design/build workshops, and has taught on the Architectural Association’s Visiting School programme for the past six years. Prior to starting her own practice, Clementine worked for David Chipperfield Architects and Duggan Morris Architects. She has a background in sculpture and film, and was educated at the University of Oxford, the Rural Studio, the Architectural Association, and the Royal College of Art.
Alex Thomas
Tutor
Alex is a Cambridge trained architect and timber frame carpenter, who co-directs Timber Workshop in Devon. Five years of experience in a range of design led London practices included time at Van Heyningen and Haward, Eric Parry and Buschow Henley Architects. This was followed by an extended period at the young practice Feilden Fowles. A passion for making crafted architecture has been a key driver though a varied career route. The last five years have been spent exploring timber framed carpentry, enhancing an understanding of construction, and an interest in how buildings are pieced together. Alongside this, Alex has been involved in a range of voluntary projects, including a ‘Summerbuild’ programme at Hooke Park, and a timber framed construction in Uganda for the Richard Feilden Foundation.
Alice Blogg
Tutor
Alice grew up in Dorset where she was given the freedom to pursue creative interests from an early age. Although university and her career took her to Manchester and London she returned to Dorset to establish her business. Her workshop is nestled in a beautiful wooded area looking out to Eggardon Hill across the rolling West Dorset countryside. It is this environment that provides not just the inspiration for her work but the raw materials too. She developed her woodworking skills working for a joinery firm by day and making her own furniture by night. She started to undertake commissions in 2010 and soon after opened her workshop. ‘Establishing my business here, providing apprenticeships and employment, making the products of my imagination that clients will live with for a lifetime is the fulfillment of a dream’. Knowing the origin of the timber, bringing out its beauty, letting the timber sing – this intimate understanding of the material, often found literally at her feet, is Alice’s life.
Charlie Corry-Wright
Workshop Manager
Charlie has lived and worked at Hooke Park for the past 23 years and is the Workshop Manager. We will be working closely with him in the first week during the design and fabrication phase.
Edmund Fowles
Visiting Lecturer
Edmund founded Feilden Fowles Architects following his undergraduate studies at the University of Cambridge. The award-winning London-based practice delivers a range of buildings across the UK, producing architecture that is rich in character and distinct in identity. Current projects include a new visitor center for the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the refurbishment and extension of the fratry at Carlise Cathedral, and a new dining hall for Homerton College in Cambridge. Edmund has delivered a number of school buildings, and teaches an undergraduate studio at the CASS School of Architecture in London.

Peter Laidler
Visiting Lecturer & Tutor
Peter is a structural engineer who founded the London-based studio Structure Workshop in 2004. The practice is committed to the pursuit of elegant structural solutions and provides collaborative design services to a broad range of clients including Assemble, Feilden Fowles Architects and the sculptor Conrad Shawcross. Peter formerly taught at the Royal College of Art and is currently an external consultant at the CASS.
Eva Kellenberger
Visiting Lecturer & Tutor
Eva founded Kellenberger–White in 2009 with Sebastian White, having graduated from the Royal College of Art. The London-based graphic design consultancy specialises in art direction, the design of typefaces, identities, books and exhibitions, as well as campaigns, information graphics and websites for individuals, businesses and cultural institutions. Recent commissions include projects with Barbican, British Library, Carmody Groarke, Design Museum, Frieze Foundation, Glasgow International, Middlesborough Institute of Modern Art, MIT Press, Royal College of Art, Science Museum, Tate, Wellcome Collection, and White Cube.
